The twins worked the Special Olympics booth at the 1812 re-enactment today where they sold roasted ears of corn.

Last year was the first year I’d dropped them off and not stayed all day with them. I had given them money to purchase food and they came home with a gallon of homemade root beer (see last year’s post).

This year I had a talk with them this morning and explained they needed to buy FOOD not just root beer.

They called me at noon and asked if beans and ham was good enough food to eat for lunch. I said yes. They told me they had some money left — “can we buy root beer now?”

I said yes.

And then they texted me these pictures.

So funny. They don’t really care for the root beer. They are fascinated with the container and love bringing it home and displaying the bottles in their room. They’ve accumulated quite a collection. Their room looks like I’m raising moonshiners.
