BEST NEIGHBOR OF THE CENTURY AWARD GOES TO LONNIE HARMON I didn’t sleep well last night. Scratch that. I didn’t sleep last night. I have nights like that (as my followers well know). So when I let the dogs out this morning, I fell asleep on the couch waiting for them to be asked back in. Well, apparently I didn’t hear them ask to come in. There came a knock at my patio door which startled me because company doesn’t come to that door. I opened it and it was my neighbor, Lonnie. LONNIE HAD RESCUED FRANKIE FROM DROWNING IN THE POOL! Pugs can’t swim very well because they are so heavy-chested. And Frankie can’t swim at all. I would have never forgiven myself if Frankie had drowned. Apparently Lonnie was outside and his wife spotted Frankie in the pool. Thank God. Thank God. Thank God. I’m so grateful. The only thing I can figure out is that the dogs were tussling and they pushed Frankie in. Jake and Chevy sometimes gang up on Frankie in play. I can’t tell you how many hugs and cuddles this little guy is getting today! And it’s all I can do not to do the same for Lonnie! (But I bet he’s glad I don’t! hah!)
