While pondering what one wears to have one’s stem cells harvested I came across this picture of 4 year old Daisy in spring outfit complete with DIY mustache and goatee. Count on Daisy to be ever appropriate.
Tomorrow is the day we begin with a blood draw and end checking into UCLA to commence the waiting game. Daisy will have a line placed in her femoral artery and wait until her white cell count starts to shoot up (which could take several days). Then she gets connected to a giant salad spinner (loose description) that will separate her stem cells from the rest of her blood. Please pray her cells cooperate to cut down our waiting time as the hospital considers patio privileges a luxury. Daisy is a total champ all the time but in some things less is more!
Also we wanted to say a huge thank you and give a virtual hug to all the amazing and loving people who send cards and thoughtful gifts. Each one is read and appreciated and we are so encouraged by all of you! You are a huge part of this journey and we learn so much from you. Also, so many have amazing knitting and sewing skills! Again, we wish we could write personal thank you’s but alas, here it is, we love you! Ox (Big Hug, little kiss).
